Urban Farming
Food prices continue to rise! Food needs for families is at an all time high. Have you bought eggs lately?

Funding for food has drastically decreased at the Mission Food Hub. We have been working at long term solutions to grow our own food in San Francisco in partnership with our Native American brothers and sisters.
About Our Organization
Feeding Our Community
The Mission Food Hub was founded in May 2020 to provide culturally appropriate groceries for families in San Francisco’s Mission District during the COVID-19 pandemic. What started with 500 families quickly grew to more than 9,000 households weekly at the height of the crisis.

Today, we continue serving families every Friday, focusing on those still recovering from job loss and immigrant families deeply impacted by COVID-19. In addition to weekly groceries, we honor community traditions with special holiday distributions for Thanksgiving and Christmas, ensuring families can gather with dignity and joy.

Our Mission & Core Values
We collectively serve our community by procuring and distributing culturally-appropriate and nutritious food to ensure the well-being of families and individuals. We are motivated by love, respect, and a desire to provide dignity to our Latino people who are experiencing hunger and are in need of food.
Social Justice
We commit to addressing the root causes of food inequity in the Latino community and advocate for social justice change to ensure the availability of safe, sufficient, and nutritious food. We believe good nutrition is a human right and that empowered people and communities thrive.
Respect
We honor the inherent worth and dignity of every person and treat all with equity and love.
Collaboration
We build strong relationships and partnerships by collaborating with diverse people, organizations, churches, government agencies, and neighborhoods who share our vision of a healthy, hunger-free Latino community. Our collaborations will address the root causes of hunger, promote entrepreneurial creativity, and maintain optimism to develop opportunities for permanent employment, self-employment and business development for Latino people.
